Correspondence, articles, and notes concerning the plight of the Canadian Eskimos, slavery in Canada, the introduction of reindeer into northern Canada, and Farley Mowat's book, People of the deer. Collection includes the following articles by White: Canadian apartheid (The Canadian Forum, 1951); Trouble in the igloos (Oxford Tory, 1952); Frobisher Bay : moonshine sketches of a little town (The Canadian Forum, 1959); and Effective occupation (The Canadian Forum, 1963). Also includes typescript of White's unpublished ms., Trans-Canadian house-party, a story of the Dew Line, and his Baffin Island diaries, which cover the period of Aug., 1949 to May, 1951. Correspondents include the Anti-Slavery Society and Farley Mowat.
